You have the choice between using the lid with a straw attached and sipping from the bottle or you can use just the lid with no straw attached and tip and sip. The Claudy straw lid is not 100% leakproof, it almost is but can occasionally still leak just a few drops of water from the straw when closed.
The lid is interchangeable across all bottle sizes - the only difference when ordering is the internal straw length.
